Little things such as ensuring all doors and windows are locked before you leave the house can make a huge difference. A large number of people who get broken in to, have often forgot to lock doors or windows making their home very vulnerable.
Many people choose to jet off to warmer climates over the winter months. If you are going to be going out the house in to the evening or overnight then try and put a timer switch on some of the lights in your home.
Try and avoid hiding keys outside your home. Many people do this to avoid being in a situation where they are locked out, but you may just be giving the burglars a head start!
